The tabs in your branded mobile app are managed in two places: through your desktop MINDBODY software and through the Branded App Administration Panel. Scheduling tabs use the consumer mode names you've chosen in your MINDBODY software, while promotional tabs are edited through the administration panel.

Before you start

  • The branded mobile app is an exclusive, add-on product that can be added to your existing software package for an additional monthly fee.
  • Editing tabs within the administration panel require the branded app owner login or a branded app staff member account. Logins used in your MINDBODY site will not work on the Branded App Administration Panel.

Adding and editing tabs for classes, appointments, and enrollments

Tabs listed under the Book section of the app are drawn from the consumer mode tabs in your MINDBODY site. Any changes made within your site—such as adding, removing, or editing a tab—will immediately update this part of your custom mobile app as well.

To edit these names, you'll need to go to the Manager Tools screen in the Mindbody software, and then:

  1. Click Settings, and then Tab Management.User-added image

  2. Find the tab you wish to rename (e.g., "Classes") in the What Clients See column. You can edit the tab name in the What Staff See column as well, but this will not affect your app.

  3. Edit the tab name (we chose "Morning Yoga") and Save.

    • Note: The sort order listed here is also used in your branded app. The tab with the highest sort order will become the first tab shown when booking in the app.

Now reload the app to see the updated tab name in the main menu.Note: If you've created a "link" type tab in your site then that tab will appear in the More section of the app.

Adding and editing promotional tabs

Promotional tabs are used to inform clients of important news, special offers, or provide details on upcoming events. They appear under the More section of the app.

You'll need to log in to the Branded App Administration Panel to create, edit, or delete these tabs:

  1. From the App Dashboard, click on the Promos icon.

  2. On the right side of the Locations screen, click the Promos button (indicated by a flame icon).

  3. Click on the promo tab name you wish to edit (e.g., "What's Hot!").

  4. Enter a new tab name. Your changes are saved automatically as soon as you click outside of the text field.

When reloading the app, you'll now see the updated tab name in the main menu.

Blacklisting tabs

You can remove tabs from the app by using the Black List feature in your Branded App Administration Panel. Alternatively, if tabs are missing and all of the settings above are set to show them, you may make them appear again by making changes in this section.

  1. Log in to the Branded App Administration Panel.
  2. Click Locations.

  3. Click on the Edit Location (pencil) icon to the right of the location you'd like to edit.

  4. Click on the App Settings tab.

  5. Scroll to the Miscellaneous Settings section, and click on the Config button under Schedule Tabs. User-added image

  6. Place a check mark beside the tabs you'd like to remove from the app. Any tabs that remain blank will be shown as usual.

  7. Click Save changes.User-added image

  8. Click Save on the top right.
