A widget is a snippet of code that you insert into your website, so clients can access your schedule and book and pay for services without having to be redirected- the entire transaction takes place on your website in real time. Afterall, you’ve worked to make your website represent your brand. Instead of using your website solely as a source of information for your clients, make the site come alive by using widgets that will allow your clients to interact with your business online.

In the past, you’d probably spend quite a few pennies to have a developer format your clients and booking databases onto your website to achieve what branded web tools widgets can accomplish for what you’re already paying for your subscription to MINDBODY. Branded web tools widgets = zero extra pennies.

Widgets work by continuously updating information from your MINDBODY site and displaying it on your website, so your clients have the most up to date information about your schedule and offerings. Widgets are unlimited in their use, are mobile friendly and can be configured to display in several different languages. A great part about it, is the widget can be configured to match your brand’s stylings, so it looks and feels like an intentional and purposeful part of your website, instead of a schedule that was tacked on as an afterthought. By unifying your website and your MINDBODY site, you are improving your clients’ user experience, increasing opportunities for revenue and bookings, and you’re driving loyalty to your brand.

In the following set of activities, we’re going to discuss in greater detail what a widget does and when to use it on your site.

There are seven different widget types. Let’s look at what each one has to offer and when to use them on your website:

  • Allows clients to search for and book or request appointments, then takes them to the shopping cart to purchase their service.
Class list
  • Displays each class and enrollment happening in the next 30 days; includes a description and schedule for each unique class and enrollment. Clients can view available times for the class or enrollment and book using an existing pass or purchasing one, if needed.
  • This is good to use if you want clients to get to know your class and enrollment offerings better by showing the details of each offering.
Note: This widget can be on the larger side, so make sure you have enough room on the page to include it on your website.
  • Displays all upcoming enrollments for the next 7 days. Clients can book using an existing pass or purchase a new one.
  • Use this widget to show just your enrollments offered.
  • The Prospect widget creates an account for the client in your MINDBODY site and marks the client as a prospect, where you can follow up and convert using MINDBODY reporting and marketing tools.
  • This is commonly used as part of a "Contact us" form when clients are interested in your services but have not yet committed to making a purchase.
  • Allows clients to sign up for a new account with your business directly from your website and creates a full MINDBODY profile for each new client. Clients can also sign your liability waiver agreement and create a login using this widget.
  • Any client making a purchase on MINDBODY will be required to create a profile. To make a purchase through your Branded Web widgets and links, your clients will need an account in your MINDBODY site. Using the Registration widget is an easy solution for creating an account, all without leaving your website.
  • Displays all classes and enrollments that are upcoming for the next 7 days together in a single view and gives clients the ability to browse future class dates one week at a time. Clients can book using an existing pass or purchase a new one.
  • Use this widget rather than the Class List widget if you prefer the sleek, minimalist look.
Staff list
  • Displays your choice of staff members, along with their photo and public bios that were entered on the staff profile screen in your MINDBODY software.
  • Clients can also view the next 30-day schedule of classes and enrollments for each staff member.
