Customizing the Share Video Email content

This email is used to share each video you choose to send, so we recommend keeping the text generic as you'll likely use this email for all types of videos.

All of the video details (including the thumbnail image) will automatically populate based on the video you choose and the class you choose to share the video with. You can set the colors and tone to match your business using the customization form below. The changes you make update on the right in real time, giving you a preview of the email you're customizing.

It's important to know that once you click Save Changes at the bottom, all changes are saved and set live in the email. If at any time you'd like to revert the email back to its default text, just clear (remove) the text in a field and click Save Changes.

Replace phrases

You'll notice replace phrases within each field.

These automatically populate the email with information for each class based on the class you chose to share the video with. You can use these phrases to construct different date and time formats (i.e.,To construct a French-style date/time you could use: {{class.start_date_day_num}}/{{class.start_date_month_num}} à {{class.start_time_24h}} to create “23/9 à 16:00” instead of the US standard “9/23 at 4:00 pm”). Or, you can choose to remove the replace phrases entirely if they don't meet your business needs.

  • {{class.name}} – the Class Name
  • {{class.start_date_day}} – “Wednesday”
  • {{class.start_date_day_num}} – “23” in the date 9/23/2020
  • {{class.start_date_month}} – “September”
  • {{class.start_date_month_num)) – “9”
  • {{class.start_date_year}} – “2020”
  • {{class.start_time}} – 4:00 pm
  • {{class.end_time}} – 5:00 pm
  • {{class.start_time_24h}} – 16:00
  • {{class.end_time_24h}} – 17:00
  • {{class.timzone_code}} – PDT

Custom content

You can edit the following fields, including brand-specific images, colors, and more. You'll notice that some fields require HTML, which allows a greater level of customization than a WYSIWYG editor. If you're not well versed in HTML, you can use a free site like WordtoHTML to create the text you want, copy the HTML, and then paste it into the field.
